Relationship with a narcissist in a nutshell:
You will go from being the perfect love of their life to nothing you do is ever good enough. You will give everything and they will take it all and give you less and less in return. You will end up depleted, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and probably financially, and then get blamed for it.

Beware the different kinds of narcissists

Overt Narcissist — Charismatic, exhibitionist, big personality, egotistical; in a word, grandiose. Has a deep need to control and show power. Likes to put on displays of wealth in order to be admired by what they perceive as the “best.”

Covert Narcissist — Extreme manipulation, passive-aggressive games, plays the victim. They have people feel sorry for them due to their victim stance, all the while abusing others around them. Classic gaslighting. Likes to put on displays of NOT needing anything in order to be admired as self-sufficient, and can also have items of clothing, cars, or houses that are still “fine” but in dire need of repairs or replacement. This plays into others feeling sorry for them, that everything is in neglect, and the narcissist can stay in and enjoy victimhood.

Somatic Narcissist — Very into their looks, slick and polished, arrogant, must have the latest of everything.

Cerebral Narcissist — Withhold sex and intimacy. They are successful and intelligent; knowledgeable and flaunt this to increase their supply. They engage in lengthy discussions as to why you are wrong (which is always), thus they are superior.

Parasitic Narcissists — Looks down on their victims, makes them feel unloved. Like a parasite, they feed off their victims. They look for strong and intelligent supply.

Amorous Narcissist — Put their victim on a pedestal. They want their victims to look good and be able to then also look good. You are not allowed to be yourself, you are only in service to satisfy the others’ needs.

Narcissists will cross over within these categories.
